Rochester Hills, Michigan Schedule:
Third Shift, 11:00pm-7:00am (initial training on First Shift, 7:00am-3:00pm, for several weeks)Type:
Contract-to-Hire Compensation:
Approximately $25.00+ per hour, based on proven work history A night in the life You clock in before midnight, review tooling work orders, and get hands-on with plastic injection molds. Your shift blends precision machining, fast troubleshooting, and careful documentation. You'll disassemble and reassemble molds safely, clean and bench details, and polish as needed—always with a focus on reducing downtime and keeping production moving. Before the presses stop, you're on the floor with the tool in the press, diagnosing issues alongside Process Engineers and making improvements. Back in the tool room, you run a surface grinder to +- 0.0002 on critical details, operate a Bridgeport and lathe to +
- 0.001, and jump on the EDM when required. You verify work using micrometers, calipers, height gages, and bore micrometers, keep your area spotless, and log maintenance activities in the company computer system.
