MSS Technician Miller Integrated Solutions - 1.9 Corpus Christi, TX Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Cleaning and sanitation procedure implementation Chemical handling safety procedures EPA Floor scrubbers Specialized industrial tools Contamination control Chemical surface cleaning High school diploma or GED Industrial hygiene Equipment malfunction response Hazardous waste segregation Vacuum cleaners Vac truck Industrial chemical handling Machine minor repairs Environmental safety protocols Chemical safety protocols Mechanical systems repair Full Job Description Primary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Perform hydroblasting, vacuum truck operations, chemical cleaning, and dry ice blasting Clean tanks, vessels, confined spaces, and production equipment Safely handle pressure washers, steam cleaners, scrubbers, and industrial vacuums Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of cleaning tools and machinery Follow OSHA, HAZWOPER, and company-specific safety protocols Use PPE and adhere to confined space entry procedures
Support Maintenance Activities:
Assist with minor mechanical repairs and filter replacements Lubricate and clean machinery as part of preventive maintenance Maintain accurate cleaning logs, safety checklists, and waste disposal records Report hazards, equipment malfunctions, and near-miss incidents Coordinate with supervisors and site managers to meet cleaning schedules Train junior technicians on equipment use and safety practices Required Skills and Competencies Proficient in handling pressure washers, vacuum trucks, scrubbers, and chemical dosing systems Knowledge of cleaning agents, proper dilution, and safe disposal procedures Familiarity with EPA and OSHA standards for industrial hygiene and contamination control Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and assist with minor repairs Understanding of hazardous and non-hazardous waste segregation and disposal methods Trained in safe entry and cleaning procedures for tanks, vessels, and enclosed areas Minimum Education and Experience High school diploma or GED; technical training in industrial cleaning preferred 2-4 years of experience in industrial cleaning or maintenance roles Work Environment Tools, equipment, machinery used: Hydroblasting, Vacuum Truck, and Tank cleaning equipment.
Working conditions:
Will be exposed to all weather conditions. Work on various structures and surfaces both at ground and elevated levels up to and possibly exceeding 150 ft. Work in confined spaces. Work a 12-hour shift with 30-minute lunch breaks. If requested, work overtime, and respond to emergency callouts whenever they occur. Work days, nights, and weekends. Travel to customer and other Miller sites as needed.
Physical effort required:
Handling tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 150 lbs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, crawl, bend, squat, and kneel. Must be capable of climbing towers/vessels/tanks.
