- Tactical Demolition Tactical Demolition is seeking an experienced and motivated Environmental Asbestos Abatement Superintendent to oversee and manage asbestos abatement and environmental remediation projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of environmental regulations, and hands-on field experience managing abatement crews, schedules, and safety compliance. This position is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage asbestos abatement and environmental remediation projects from start to finish Oversee field crews, subcontractors, and daily jobsite operations Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state environmental regulations Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety standards Coordinate project schedules, manpower, equipment, and material deliveries Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and abatement protocols Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and daily logs Communicate with project managers, inspectors, consultants, and clients Monitor project progress, production, and quality control Ensure proper containment setup, removal procedures, waste handling, and disposal processes are followed Train and mentor field personnel on best practices and safety procedures
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of asbestos abatement supervisory experience Current asbestos supervisor license/certification required Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations Experience managing commercial, industrial, and demolition-related abatement projects Ability to lead crews in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to travel to job sites as needed Valid driver's license required
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional environmental remediation experience including lead, mold, or hazardous materials Experience working on large-scale demolition or heavy civil projects CPR/First Aid certification Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
