From operating heavy equipment and managing inventory to responding to emergency spills, you are the "boots on the ground" ensuring our facility and client sites meet strict environmental and safety standards.
What You'll Do Execute Logistics:
Operate forklifts to transport waste (drums, totes, cubic boxes) and manage loading/unloading for all truck deliveries and pickups.
Maintain Site Integrity:
Perform routine inspections of spill kits, grounds, and trenches; monitor secondary containment and address issues like sump overflows.
Manage Inventory:
Keep a running count of consumable supplies and notify supervisors for reordering to ensure zero operational downtime.
Lead Response & Support:
Act as an immediate responder for onsite spills and assist field crews with non-routine projects, including vacuum truck operations.
Ensure Safety & Escort:
Safely guide vendors and visitors across the site; participate in safety meetings and the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
Maintain Compliance:
Follow all SET Environmental policies regarding PPE and safe work practices; report all "near misses" and incidents immediately.
Stay Flexible:
Provide after hours coverage during the week and weekends as needed to support 24/7 site operations.
What You'll Bring Education:
High School diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
Licensing:
Must hold a valid Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record.
Certifications:
Ability to obtain and maintain all required certifications, including 40-hour
HAZWOPER
, medical surveillance, and respirator clearance.
Core Skills:
Strong communication skills and a high focus on safety; proficient in forklift operation and material handling.
Physical/Mental Agility:
Ability to work safely under direction, follow complex procedures, and maintain a willingness to take on additional tasks on demand.
Adaptability:
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and handle on-call shifts.
Working Conditions Environment:
Industrial field setting; exposure to various weather conditions and industrial materials.
Physical:
Ability to sit, speak, hear, and handle objects; occasional stand, walk, kneel, and crouch; capable of operating heavy machinery and moving industrial containers.
