Job Description Position Purpose:
Responsible for sampling and unloading of inbound bulk/liquid tankers/rail cars and routing of hazardous waste to appropriate destination in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies to insure that end product meets the specifications for disposal in an efficient and effective manner.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
Sample all inbound and outbound tankers and send samples to the laboratory for analysis Utilize and complete tank logs/boards and tracking sheets Transfers hazardous material tank to tank, tank truck, tank to railcar, and truck to railcar. Maintain and clean filters on an as needed basis when offloading hazardous waste. Perform general housekeeping duties. Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area. Other work related duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education/Experience/Background:
High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred Prior work experience of 1 to 2 years in a related position preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong team player Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to communicate through reading and writing
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
OSHA HAZWOPER
