Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Asbestos Abatement Supervisor to lead and oversee asbestos removal projects with precision and safety. In this vital role, you will coordinate and supervise asbestos abatement teams, ensuring all work complies with strict safety regulations and industry standards. Your leadership will drive efficient project execution, uphold quality control, and maintain a safe work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage complex industrial cleaning operations while fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and excellence. Responsibilities Supervise asbestos abatement crews during removal projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor team performance to meet project deadlines. Conduct site inspections to verify proper containment, ventilation, and waste disposal procedures are followed. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project transparency and compliance. Implement safety training sessions for team members on asbestos handling, personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency procedures. Maintain detailed documentation of project activities, safety incidents, and compliance reports. Oversee the cleaning and sanitation of work areas post-abatement to ensure a safe environment for future use. Skills Proven experience supervising industrial cleaning or asbestos abatement projects with a strong focus on safety regulations. Excellent staff supervision and team management skills to motivate and lead diverse crews effectively. Strong knowledge of asbestos handling procedures, sanitation standards, and environmental safety protocols. Effective managerial communication skills for coordinating with clients, team members, and regulatory bodies. Background in custodial or janitorial services with an emphasis on hazardous material management is highly desirable. Leadership qualities that promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement in high-pressure environments. Familiarity with management practices related to commercial cleaning, sanitation management, and hotel or hospitality housekeeping operations. Pay:
$25.00 - $33.00 per hour
