Job Description

Job Overview We're looking for a driven, and technically minded Brazing Technician is responsible for performing high‑quality brazing operations on metal components using torches, rotary braze stations, induction, and or furnace brazing methods. This role ensures strong, clean, and reliable joints that meet engineering specifications and industry standards. The technician works closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to support manufacturing goals.
Responsibilities:
Perform brazing operations on a variety of metals, including copper, brass and aluminum. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions Prepare parts for brazing by cleaning, assembling, and applying flux or filler materials. Set up and operate brazing equipment such as torches, induction units, rotary stations and furnaces Inspect brazed joints for quality, strength, and compliance with specifications. Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify tolerances. Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency. Document work performed and complete production reports. Follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage and proper handling of heat sources. Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to troubleshoot issues and improve processes
Required Qualifications:
Experience with torch, induction, or furnace brazing Strong understanding of metallurgy and filler materials. Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions. Manual dexterity and steady hand‑eye coordination. Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards. Basic math and measurement skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of soldering, welding, or other joining processes. Experience with quality systems such as ISO 9001 or AS9100 Certification in brazing or welding (AWS, ASME, or equivalent). Experience in HVAC, aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing
Physical Requirements/ Training Required/Preferred Traits:
Ability to stand for extended periods. Lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs. Work in environments with heat, fumes, and noise (with proper PPE) Detail‑oriented with a commitment to craftsmanship Strong problem‑solving abilities. Reliable, punctual, and safety‑focused. Eager to learn and improve processes
Preferred Education:
High School diploma or equivalent Certification in brazing or welding (AWS, ASME, or equivalent).
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
