Job Description

Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM The Vacuum Brazing Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of vacuum brazing furnaces and associated equipment used in the manufacture of heat exchangers, aerospace components, and precision assemblies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up and operate vacuum brazing furnaces according to approved work instructions and process specifications. Load and unload production hardware, fixtures, and assemblies into vacuum furnaces. Verify furnace programming, temperature profiles, vacuum levels, and cycle parameters before processing. Monitor brazing cycles and document process data as required. Conduct pre- and post-braze inspections to identify defects, distortion, leaks, contamination, or incomplete braze joints. Quality & Compliance Follow all quality procedures, manufacturing instructions, and customer specifications. Complete production records, travelers, inspection sheets, and furnace logs accurately. Support first-pass yield and scrap reduction efforts through adherence to process controls. Participate in root cause and corrective action investigations related to brazing defects.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 2-5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in vacuum brazing, heat treating, welding, aerospace, or metallurgical processing. Experience operating industrial furnaces and thermal processing equipment preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Ipsen or similar vacuum brazing furnaces. Aerospace, defense, or heat exchanger manufacturing experience. Knowledge of aluminum, stainless steel, nickel alloys, and Inconel materials.
