  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bench Jeweler to join our manufacturing and fabrication team.
The Bench Jeweler is a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional responsible for the repair, restoration, and fabrication of fine antique and estate jewelry. This role requires strong bench skills, proficiency with laser welding, and expertise in working with gemstones, diamonds, and precious metals. This position is ideal for a self-driven individual who is committed to mastering their craft, thrives in a high-volume environment, and is eager to learn under the guidance of master jewelers. The Bench Jeweler must demonstrate precision, problem-solving ability, and strong follow-through while collaborating cross-functionally with inventory, retail, and workshop teams. Reports to

PM Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following: others may be assigned. 1. Jewelry Repair & Fabrication Perform high-quality jewelry repairs, including sizing, soldering, stone setting, and restoration of antique pieces Utilize laser welding equipment with a high level of proficiency Work with a torch and various metals, including gold, platinum, and silver Execute precise hand engraving using traditional tools Assemble and fabricate custom and semi-custom jewelry pieces 2. Stone & Setting Work Handle and set diamonds and colored gemstones with precision and care Evaluate stones and settings to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic quality Assist in selecting appropriate mountings for loose stones 3. Workshop Operations Manage a high volume of repair and production work while maintaining quality standards Perform detailed inspections and quality control on completed pieces Troubleshoot and solve complex jewelry repair and construction challenges Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized bench 4. Collaboration & Communication Partner with Inventory, Retail, and Workshop teams to ensure seamless workflow Communicate clearly regarding job status, timelines, and potential issues Navigate varying personalities professionally and contribute to a positive team environment 5. Craftsmanship Development Demonstrate a strong desire to continuously improve bench skills and techniques Learn and train under senior/master jewelers to refine advanced craftsmanship

Education and Work Experience Minimum of 3-4 years of bench jewelry experience required Proven experience with laser welding Strong background in jewelry repair, fabrication, and stone setting Preferred Qualifications Hand engraving experience using traditional tools Experience working with antique or estate jewelry Advanced knowledge of gemstones and diamonds Strong jewelry mechanics and fabrication skills Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a jeweler's bench Use of microscopes, loupes, and precision tools High level of manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Ability to lift or move items up to 25 lbs
