Experienced Bench Jeweler - Burnells Fine Jewelry and Design

Burnell's is a proudly employee-owned jewelry store that has served the Wichita community for over 43 years. We are known for exceptional craftsmanship, high-quality repairs, and a strong, team-oriented culture. Our shop is fully equipped with advanced tools including bench microscopes, laser welders, GRS systems, and everything needed to design, fabricate, set, engrave, and finish jewelry—all in-house. We are busier than ever and continue to grow, creating an exciting opportunity for a skilled jeweler to join a collaborative and experienced team. The Opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled Bench Jeweler / Goldsmith with strong technical ability and a passion for quality craftsmanship. This is a critical role for someone who can perform at a high level on the bench while also communicating effectively with our team.

This position is ideal for:

A seasoned jeweler with strong bench skills Or an advanced/intermediate jeweler ready to grow in a high-performing environment Key Responsibilities Ring sizing, repair, and restoration Cleaning, polishing, and finishing Rhodium and gold plating Stone setting (various styles) Execute work with precision, efficiency, and consistency Maintain a clean, organized workspace and shop environment Collaborate with team members on complex repairs and custom work Clearly communicate repair needs and processes with team members What We're Looking For 5+ years of bench experience preferred (high-end shop or similar environment strongly desired) Strong technical bench skills—must be able to deliver high-quality work consistently Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong communication skills (especially within a team setting) Positive attitude and ability to contribute to a healthy, respectful culture Bonus (not required): Custom jewelry experience Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $65,000 - $80,000 (based on experience) Performance-based bonuses 401(k) with matching Health, dental, and vision insurance options Paid time off + paid holidays + birthday off Employee discounts Professional development and advancement opportunities Relocation assistance (customized based on candidate and situation) Why Join Burnell's?
