Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a Vehicle Fit to Nominal Engineer for a Contract with a client in Allen Park, MI. The ideal candidate with expertise in validating vehicle fit, finish, margin, and flushness compliance throughout product launch phases.

Rate Range:
$40/hour to $42/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Vehicle Fit to Nominal Engineer Job Responsibilities include: Measure and validate vehicle interior and exterior part-to-part margins and flushness to ensure compliance with build event requirements and craftsmanship standards. Conduct Perceived Quality (PQ) and Critical to Quality (CTQ) audits during vehicle launch phases, documenting findings and compliance results. Analyze dimensional data, fit-and-finish metrics, and quality reports to identify coordination issues, quality concerns, and improvement opportunities. Generate issue lists, lead binning sessions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive timely resolution of fit, finish, and dimensional concerns. Review and support OK-to-Grain assessments, pre-graining approvals, and final AAR approvals using dimensional and launch build data. Partner with PD, VOME, STA, suppliers, and launch teams to track, communicate, and resolve craftsmanship and fit-to-nominal issues throughout the product launch process.Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required; technical degree, vocational training, apprenticeship, or equivalent industrial maintenance certification preferred. Minimum 10 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including independent diagnosis of complex equipment failures. Experience supporting injection molding machines, automation equipment, and preventive/corrective maintenance programs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
