About the Role We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Gemstone & Jewelry Operations Specialist to support our growing e-comm marketplace and fulfillment operations. You'll work closely with the Director of Marketplace to keep the jewelry resale program running smoothly, from tagging and cataloging new jewelry inventory and posting inventory on online marketplaces for sale, coordinating fulfillment, and ensuring resale-ready items move accurately through Alloy's process. This is a technical, non-sales role focused on gemstone identification, precision measurement and jewelry resale product cataloging. The role is hands-on, process-driven ideal for someone who thrives on structure, understands different types of gemstones and jewelry styles, enjoys working with jewelry, and can multitask across operational and logistical functions. You'll play a key part in making sure every item that enters or leaves Alloy is properly tracked, represented, and fulfilled with care. Because this role involves handling valuable items and working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment, trust, precision, and follow-through are essential. Flexibility and the willingness to take on other duties as assigned is key. What You'll Do Gemstone & Jewelry Operations & Inventory Management (Primary) Support the full lifecycle of Alloy's jewelry resale program, from intake to fulfillment. Identify, tag, label, and inventory jewelry (including identifying chain link type, gemstone type, and other jewelry-specific attributes) according to Alloy's resale SOPs and categorization systems. Maintain organization and tracking for all resale inventory across platforms and storage areas. Check items out and back in for live resellers, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and accountability. Photograph and list items for resale platforms (e.g., eBay, Poshmark, Whatnot) as needed. Other duties as assigned. Fulfillment & Logistics Package and ship sold items promptly and accurately. Assist in coordinating product flow between Alloy's resale room, operations area, and live sale zones. Customer Service & Live Show Support (Secondary) Respond to customer messages and inquiries on resale platforms (e.g., eBay). Assist live show hosts and operators with product handoffs, labeling, and time-sensitive tasks during broadcasts. Help organize post-show reconciliation and ensure inventory is correctly updated afterward.
