In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of locking mechanisms, security systems, and access control devices. Your expertise will ensure the safety and security of our facilities, clients, and assets. Responsibilities Install, repair, and troubleshoot various lock systems, including mechanical locks, electronic access controls, and high-security lock hardware Conduct field service visits to client sites for system installation, maintenance, and emergency repairs Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams related to security systems and lock mechanisms Integrate security solutions such as CCTV cameras, sensors, alarms, fire alarm systems, and intrusion detection systems (IDS) into existing infrastructure Perform cabling and low voltage wiring for security devices using power tools and hand tools while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards Collaborate with clients to assess security needs; assist with alarm system sales and system design consultations Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including service reports and system configurations Requirements Proven experience as a locksmith or in a related field service role with hands-on knowledge of lock hardware and security systems Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience in low voltage systems Familiarity with computer networking, remote access software, surveillance equipment (CCTV), sensors, alarms, fire alarm systems, and telecommunication infrastructure Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and electrical wiring diagrams accurately Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, cabling techniques, and construction practices related to security installations Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security system issues efficiently Service technician experience preferred; strong communication skills for client interactions are essential Knowledge of NEC standards and electrical codes relevant to security system installation is highly desirable Join us in delivering top-tier security solutions that protect people and property!
