Salary:
$18/hr.•$20/hr.
DOE Responsibilities:
Repair, replace, and install doors, hardware, and locks. Provide lock and hardware strategy recommendations to project managers. Coordinate work orders with contractors, the Lead Locksmith, and carpenters. Procure locks, doors, and hardware. Design and manage the campus key system hierarchy (commercial and state institutional master key systems). Maintain accurate database for hardware, locks, keys, and doors. Collaborate with suppliers for technical support, warranty issues, and staff training. Ensure ADA and Florida Building Code compliance for hardware, locks, and doors. Assist the carpentry shop with event setup, roof/window/door maintenance, and other light carpentry tasks. Adhere to all recognized safety practices and standards. Assist other trades as needed. Comply with all rules, procedures, and governing laws and regulations. Provide courteous, professional, and accessible service excellence. Perform other duties as assigned.

High School Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.•Master Keying Certification from a recognized trade school plus 1•4 years of related work experience. (Vocational/technical training may substitute for required experience.) Training in specific campus lock/exit devices; Registered Locksmith status is preferred. Must pass a criminal background check. Must possess a valid Florida Class E Operator driver's license and be authorized to drive for the college.
