Full Time Locksmith Hammond, IN 46320 From $17.43 an hour - Full-time From $17.43 an hour - Full-time Overview Join our dynamic team as a Full Time Locksmith, where your expertise will ensure the safety and security of our facilities, clients, and assets. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment, providing reliable lock and security solutions. As a key member of our maintenance and security team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of locking systems and security devices. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help us uphold the highest standards of safety and security across all locations. Duties Install, repair, and maintain various types of locks, safes, and security hardware across multiple sites Conduct routine inspections of locking systems to identify potential issues before they escalate Use specialized tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical components within electronic locks and security systems Troubleshoot and resolve lock malfunctions efficiently to minimize downtime Assist with key cutting, duplication, and access control setup for clients and staff Collaborate with security personnel to implement new security measures or upgrades Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including service logs and inspection reports Experience Proven experience working as a locksmith or in a related security or maintenance role Strong knowledge of mechanical locks, electronic access systems, safes, and alarm components Familiarity with using ohmmeters for testing electrical circuits within security devices Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, or schematics related to lock systems Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues Valid locksmith license or certification preferred; relevant certifications are a plus Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces Join us in delivering top-tier security solutions!
