Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Locksmith to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of security systems, locks, and electronic access controls. This role requires strong technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as experience with various security technologies. The Locksmith will provide field service support, troubleshoot complex security issues, and ensure the safety and security of client premises through expert lock and system solutions. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain mechanical locks, safes, door operators,electronic access controls, CCTV systems, sensors, and surveillance equipment. Conduct system design and schematics interpretation for various security and telecommunication systems. Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on low voltage systems, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), alarm systems, and remote access software. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and cabling techniques to complete installations efficiently. Service security systems including CCTV, sensors, and security system integration. Conduct system testing to ensure proper functionality and compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Provide technical support for construction projects involving security infrastructure. Assist clients with alarm system sales and system upgrades to enhance security measures. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and system configurations. Ensure safety protocols are followed during all field service activities. Requirements Proven experience as a locksmith or service technician specializing in security installations. Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with electrical experience in low voltage wiring, cabling, and power tools operation. Familiarity with computer networking, hardware setup, system design, and remote access software related to security systems. Knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV cameras, sensors, alarms, and telecommunication wiring. Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electronic and mechanical issues on-site. Valid driver's license is preferred for field service operations.
