Seasoned Locksmith or Locksmith Apprentice Pop-A-Lock of Polk County is looking to grow its locksmith team. We are seeking qualified Locksmiths or individuals willing to commit to learning a trade. Tools, equipment, and uniforms provided. If you're researching Pop-A-Lock, know that all locations are individually owned and operated. Our location has been in business since 2013. We have 7 people on the team, and are looking to add 1 more. Our specialty is automotive locksmith services; however, we also do residential and commercial locksmithing as well as manage and staff a shop in Bartow, FL. The right candidate for the job will be available must be available Monday - Saturday and able to work until 8pm. We are closed on Sundays. Description:

Pop-A-Lock is looking for an urgent, competitive and personable individual to perform residential, automotive, and commercial locksmith services. For most of our staff, a typical day includes making keys, remotes, and push-to-start fobs for a variety of vehicles, rekeying locks for businesses and homeowners, duplicating keys, picking locks, installing locks and door hardware, opening vehicles, and more. Often we work outside. Initially, the position will focus on unlocking vehicles and residences. Over time, additional skills will be taught and the position will grow to provide more locksmith services. An exceptional memory and excellent fine-motor skills will assure your success. The right candidate will need to be a team player. While being a locksmith is an individual contributor role, we still work as a team, providing assistance, training, and support for each other over the course of a day. Pop-A-Lock provides both mobile and onsite services at our storefront in Bartow, FL. This is a permanent, full-time position. We will train the right individuals to be part of an elite group of locksmiths servicing the county. A background check will be required.

Requirements:

Be able to evaluate a situation and solve problems. We can teach you how to be a locksmith, but you need to know how to think. Mechanical aptitude is critical. We aren't looking for mechanics. We are looking for people that understand how things work. Ability to read and follow written instructions. Be detail oriented. Customer oriented. Our Team Members represent this company. Do so professionally. Computer & cell phone skills are critical. This industry is moving towards technology, not away from it. Ability to work independently. Once you're training, you'll be on your own most of the day. Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Some college or college degree preferred. We are military-friendly and appreciate the value of military experience. Available to work some nights, weekends and holidays. Finally, the right candidate will have a verifiable work history without major gaps, or will address these gaps upfront so that we can understand your background and how it fits with our team and company culture. Successful applicants will be quick learners with an ability to work independently and make good decisions.
