Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Locksmith with passion and dedication to join our team. The ideal candidate/s will possess a strong understanding of lock mechanisms, security systems, and key cutting techniques. As a Locksmith, you will be responsible for providing high-quality locksmithing services to our clients, ensuring their security needs are met with professionalism and expertise . Duties Install, repair, and maintain a variety of locks, keys, and security systems for residential and commercial properties. Respond to emergency lockout situations promptly and efficiently. Conduct assessments of security needs and recommend appropriate locking solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with locks and security systems. Have familiarity with gain entry operations. Perform key cutting, duplication, and stamping services accurately. Maintain accurate records of work performed and inventory of materials used. Stay updated on the latest locksmithing techniques and technologies to enhance service offerings. Skills Proven experience as a Locksmith or in a related field. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations. Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise work. Good communication skills to interact effectively with clients and understand their needs. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments. Familiarity with various types of locking mechanisms, including traditional locks, electronic locks, and smart locks. Proficiency in using an Ohmmeter for testing electrical components related to electronic locks. The ability to read, understand, and utilize blueprints while on commercial and access control jobsites. Requirements A valid Texas driver's license and clear background check is required for this position, along with a valid TOPS license. Must have reliable transportation with valid insurance. Reliable access to a cell phone, tablet, and/or laptop. The ability to work in excessive heat, as some properties are vacant and have no A/C The ability to climb a ladder, crawl in tight in tall spaces like attics, and lift up to 50 lbs. Availability Our typical operating hours are Monday-Friday 8am-6pm & Saturdays 10am-4pm. We also offer afterhours and emergency services outside of those times. The ideal candidate would have some flexible availability, as tickets are scheduled around client's needs. Pay Our pay rate is competitive to other local locksmithing companies, and will be discussed upon interview based on expertise and experience.
