Position Details Position Details Advertising/Posting Title Locksmith Posting Summary Repair and maintain university building locks/security systems and associated hardware to ensure security on campus without disruption to university functions. Access information utilizing appropriate software programs. Promote a workplace that encourages safety within the shop and in the field. May operate a university vehicle. Report to a Zone Supervisor and actively engage in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability and exceptional value to customers. Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) High school diploma and two years of relevant experience required. Valid driver's license, or ability to obtain and drivers check may be required. Experience using computers and mobile technology required. Specific physical requirements may apply based on job functions. Effective verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to interact with diverse groups of people and function in a team setting. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing specific job tasks. Initial employment contingent upon successful completion of background check.
