Birmingham, AL Job Details Full-time $31 - $39 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Vision insurance Flexible schedule Qualifications High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Ability to follow instructions Milling machines Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description We are hiring CNC Machinists at all experience levels, from entry-level operators to experienced setup machinists and programmers. Candidates with CNC machining, G-code, CAM programming, blueprint reading, or GD&T experience are encouraged to apply. Training may be available based on experience.
Responsibilities:
Operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision components. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. Perform machine setups, tool changes, offsets, and program adjustments based on experience level. Create, edit, or troubleshoot G-code and CAM programs for higher-level positions. Inspect completed parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment. Maintain required tolerances, surface finishes, quality, and production standards. Identify and report machine, tooling, programming, or quality issues. Follow all safety, housekeeping, and preventive-maintenance procedures.
Qualifications:
CNC machining experience is preferred, but entry-level candidates with relevant schooling or mechanical experience will be considered. Blueprint-reading and precision-measuring experience is preferred. G-code, CAM programming, setup, and GD&T experience are highly desirable for Levels II and III. Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Technical training or a machining certification is a plus. Level placement and compensation will be based on machining experience, setup capabilities, programming knowledge, and understanding of
