Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Machinist with 1-3 years of experience or recent completion of an in-person machining trade school program. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in CNC machining while contributing to a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position focuses on fundamental machine operation, maintenance, and consistency in part production.
Key Responsibilities:
Load and unload workpieces safely and efficiently Perform basic CNC program loading and machine operation under supervision Maintain proper coolant levels and monitor fluid condition Manage chip bins, including emptying and disposal in accordance with procedures Keep machine tables and work areas clean and free of debris Perform routine machine upkeep, including use of air, oiling, and general maintenance tasks Follow setup sheets, work instructions, and standard operating procedures Inspect parts for basic quality requirements and report issues as needed Support senior machinists and supervisors with daily production needs
Qualifications:
1-3 years of machining experience OR recent graduate of an in-person machining trade school program Basic understanding of CNC machine operation and shop practices Familiarity with machine maintenance tasks (coolant, chips, cleaning, lubrication) Ability to follow instructions and work consistently in a production environment Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident) Must have no disqualifying criminal history Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
