We are currently seeking qualified and motivated Journeyman CNC Lathe Machinists to join our team of professionals. Job Responsibilities Responsibilities will include setting up and controlling operations of single or multiple Mazak CNC Lathes. Position will require individual to read and interpret blueprints with proficiency, inspect parts and submit qualified first article parts to Q.A. for validation. Qualified individuals shall have the ability to retrieve programs from program library, set up jaws and fixtures per program, select and load required tools on tool holders, and set tool lengths and fixture offsets. Run first article piece, perform dimensional inspections, and upon producing first piece meeting dimensional requirements submit to Q.A. for validation. Capacity to make program adjustments as needed to sustain dimensional targets is preferred but not required. Required Skills Ability to generate programs with Mazatrol Controller, set-up and run Mazak CNC Lathes with proficiency (Experience in Mastercam for Lathes is not required but is considered a plus). Ability to read blueprints supporting Aerospace industries. Ability to measure dimensions of first article to ensure proper set up. Experience and capacity to write and edit programs on Mazatrol Controller is preferred. Competent knowledge and application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing. Experienced in use of precision measuring equipment (i.e. Height Gages, Calipers, Micometers).
