$25.00-$35.00/hr DOE United Gunworks is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. As a Machinist at United Gunworks, you will play a crucial role in the production process by operating various CNC machines and lathes to create precision parts and components. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of machining processes, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a CNC Machinists to join our dynamic team. We have a position open for our 2nd shift (2:30pm-11pm) and weekends (Friday-Sunday). The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in operating CNC machines to produce precision parts. As a Machinist at United Gunworks, you will play a crucial role in the production process by operating various CNC machines and lathes to create precision parts and components. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of machining processes, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations. Select and install the appropriate tools, fixtures, and workpieces for machining. Monitor the machining process, adjusting as necessary to maintain quality standards. Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges). Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve processes and efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to machining operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training is a plus. Must be able to pass a background check Excellent attendance Safety first mindset Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment 3+ years of experience as a machinist, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proficient in operating CNC and manual machining equipment. (lathe, mill, multi-axis, horizontal, Eurotech Rapido, Kobra, Diamont, st20y) Strong knowledge of machinery, tooling, and materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Familiarity with quality control standards and measuring tools. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform manual tasks as needed. Standing for extended periods and performing repetitive motions during machine setup and operation. Why Join Us?
