Job Description

Title:
Operator/Mechanic IV
Location:
Carlsbad, CA 92008
Duration:
12 months plus extensions
Qualifications:
This requisition is for one CNC Machinist with minimum 2-years' experience.
Responsibilities:
￢ﾀﾢ Set up and operate a wide range of both CNC and manual machine tools, such as grinders, mills, lathes, and hones on a diverse range of product involving difficult operations, aerospace tolerances, and complex shapes. Machines used at Valley View include HAAS vertical mills, Toyoda Grinders, Accuturn, Prodigy, Hardinge, and HAAS lathes. ￢ﾀﾢ Modify programs in response to problems. ￢ﾀﾢ Monitor product quality and troubleshoot to determine causes of operating errors and make decisions to solve any errors. ￢ﾀﾢ Monitor and troubleshoot production processes and product quality ￢ﾀﾢ Maintain quality metrics to facilitate positive, proactive operational change
Requirements:
￢ﾀﾢ High School Diploma/GED ￢ﾀﾢ 2+ years of machining experience OR a Machining Technology certificate ￢ﾀﾢ Willing and able to work occasional overtime ￢ﾀﾢ Experience in machining composites, metals, and or aluminum extrusions ￢ﾀﾢ Ability to read CNC programs and the ability to set up and operate manual and CNC equipment ￢ﾀﾢ Proficient in shop math, including geometry and conversions ￢ﾀﾢ Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and understand tolerance ￢ﾀﾢ Demonstrated ability to use precision gages ￢ﾀﾢ Knowledge of FANUC controls ￢ﾀﾢ Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills ￢ﾀﾢ Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred:
￢ﾀﾢ 3+ years of machining experience ￢ﾀﾢ CNC machinist certification ￢ﾀﾢ Knowledge/experience in Statistical Process Control #TB_OTH #ZR Why TalentBurst?
