Job Description

What you ll be doing;
  • Review, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output.
  • Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job in liaison with the facility planners.
  • Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping.
  • Select appropriate machines (e.g. lathes, Mill, grinder etc..) and position or load material for a job.
  • Select tools and cutting conditions. Generate and maintain programs.
  • Define and manufacture tooling fixture/JIG required to manufacture the parts.
  • Check output to ensure consistency with specifications. Request confirmation from QC.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages or solicit intervention from the maintenance department.
  • Operate the machines safely Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves)
  • Highlight Top 3-5 skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manual machine shop or tool room department. Or Preferred Experience as described below.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and work instructions in English.
  • Must have the knowledge of and be able to use all measuring devices to ensure the quality of the manufactured components Physical requirements are listed below but not limited to:
  • Standing
  • Frequent/Intermittent Up to 8 hours per day.
  • Walking
  • Occasionally/Intermittent Up to 8 hours per day.
  • Sitting
  • Occasionally/Intermittent. Lifting
  • Up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally/Intermittent. Carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally/Intermittent Pushing/Pulling-between 50-100 lbs
