In this role, you will operate and program CNC lathes to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in machining, blueprint reading, and technical troubleshooting will drive the success of our innovative projects. Duties Set up and operate CNC lathe machines, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards Program CNC lathes using CNC programming languages and CAM software to optimize machining processes Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and engineering specifications Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify parts Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and tooling setups for each job to ensure precision and efficiency Assist in the development of machining processes for new product introductions and continuous process improvements Experience Proven experience operating CNC lathe machines in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of CNC programming (Fanuc controls preferred) Skilled in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications accurately Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM), CAD/CAM programming, and SolidWorks or similar CAD software is a plus Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations Familiarity with manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding, welding, assembly, and lean manufacturing principles Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines effectively Strong commitment to safety protocols and quality standards in a fast-paced production setting Join us at Calnetix Technologies to be part of a forward-thinking team committed to innovation and sustainability.
