Job Description

Job Overview•
DIRECT HIRE
Sets up and operates conventional, special purpose, CNC and Numerical Control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metal parts to customer prints for use in the medical, aerospace, computer and miscellaneous industries as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Studies blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine dimensions and tolerance of finished product. Measuring and marking material as needed. Selecting, aligning and securing fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and material as necessary to machine parts. Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cuts, etc. Observe operations to detect malfunctions. Verify conformance of finished work. Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
•To be familiar with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery. Knowledge in operations and maintenance. Knowledge on operation of grinders, lathes and mills. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
•. Entry level position requires One (1) year minimum experience and a General Education Diploma (GED)
LANGUAGE SKILLS
•Speak and communicate in English, having the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction and procedure manuals. Spanish is not a requirement but is a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
•Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Knowledge of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
REASONING ABILITY
•Ability of solve practical problems and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
