CNC MACHINIST
(RAPTOR)

SHIFT RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate CNC machines and produce flight hardware needed to achieve program level production rate goals Deburr hardware in the assigned work center to contribute to deliveries to downstream customers Chase machine cut threads to size Inspect surface finishes, threads, and broken edges Borescope parts to check for internal defects and debris Operate clean line equipment, laser part marking, and general part finishing according to requirements Perform CNC machine preventative maintenance on a weekly and monthly basis Maintain the shop in terms of chip bins, oils, greases, 5S and general upkeep activities Complete work instructions and test plans to document needed data throughout each process Perform precision set-ups of various CNC machines on state-of-the-art assets Prioritize daily work to ensure high machine uptime across the assigned shop / area Manage cutting tools in CNC machines to ensure that machines have the needed cutting tools loaded and measured before they are called in upcoming programs
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalency certificate 1+ years of experience in manufacturing
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
5+ years of experience in manufacturing Ability to read accurately and write clearly, perform basic arithmetic calculations accurately Experience in shop math, tooling technology, blueprint reading and measurement of parts Strong mechanical aptitude Strong interpersonal skills including, but not limited to, contributing to a team-oriented environment, balancing team and individual responsibilities
Physical Requirements:
repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Pay range: CNC Machinist/Level 1: $23.00
  • $27.00/hour CNC Machinist /Level 2: $26.00
  • $32.50/hour CNC Machinist /Level 3: $31.00

00/hour Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the ability to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
