Wire EDM / Holepop Machinist - Veteran Owned Job Shop in Aerospace Manufacturing

Wire EDM Operator for Veteran-Owned EDM Job Shop Specializing in Aerospace & Medical Manufacturing in Huntington Beach, Orange County 1•2 years of experience in EDM Machining is preferred but not mandatory.

Willing to take a trainee who is mechanically minded and has an interest in manufacturing, production & machining

Job Type:

Full-time Duties Include:

Immediate opening for experienced operator or machinist that has operated EDM machines Follow machine procedures Read prints Machine / Job set up, Power settings, and off-sets Measure parts to be machined Use comparators, tool maker's microscopes, etc Use micrometers, calipers, gauge blocks, and dial indicators Perform inspection Count parts and fill-out the appropriate paperwork. Proceed to turn in finished products to QC for further inspection and shipping. Pay rate is based on experience. The schedules are M-F from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm with overtime required as needed. Benefits once hired•3 months after the probationary period Maintain a clean work area. Perform regular maintenance on machines as per machine manual.

Special Conditions of Employment:

Applicant must have some mathematics background and the desire to learn a new trade. Must be willing to purchase own tools and toolbox. Dependable•more reliable than spontaneous Adaptable/flexible•enjoy doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction Ability to work independently
