Shift Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain manual and/or CNC lathes to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and experienced in machining tight-tolerance parts in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate manual and/or CNC lathe machines to produce precision parts Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions Select proper tooling, speeds, feeds, and cutting parameters Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools Maintain tight tolerances and ensure high-quality production standards Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot basic issues Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area Document production activities and maintain accurate records as required

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience as a lathe machinist (manual and/or CNC preferred) Strong understanding of machining principles and shop math Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T basics Experience using precision measuring instruments Familiarity with different metals and machining materials Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset Ability to work independently on 1st shift with minimal supervision High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical training a plus

Physical Requirements:
