CNC Vertical Mill Machinst Arsenal Recruiting - 5.0 Los Alamitos, CA Job Details Full-time $28 - $35 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications Machine setup Tooling Metal materials Manufacturing facility experience Milling machines Manufacturing company experience Equipment adjustment (production tasks) Full Job Description We are small high end aerospace shop producing custom one-off parts for large defense and aerospace manufacturers. We are looking for a smart vertical mill mahcinist, with solid setup experience, ideally in tight tolerance, exotic alloy, and aerospace background. This is a thinking machinist position where each part is mission critical and needs to be done with care and precision, not speed. Duties Set up and operate CNC vertical milling machines for job shop one-off type parts. Interpret technical blueprints, mechanical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications to produce accurate parts. Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, Espirit background or CAM work a plus. Utilize precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are met. Perform routine machine maintenance, tooling changes, and adjustments to optimize machining performance. Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical documentation for complex machining tasks. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC vertical milling machines in a manufacturing setting. Proficiency in CNC programming languages including G-code, M-code, Espirit a plus. Strong knowledge of exotic alloys like inconol, titanium, and ceramics. 3+ years in an high precision environment. This is a unique position making fun detailed aerospace parts.
