Under general supervision, utilizes electric/pneumatic tools to drill, buff, sand, deburr and polish parts according to specifications/router. Chooses the correct abrasive materials and tool for the task. Installs hardware such as bushings and assembles parts by pinning, screwing, etc. May check parts to ensure specifications such as tolerance, torque, etc. are met. Cleans parts.PRIMARY DUTIES
Include the following but other duties may be assigned.- Chooses the correct abrasive based on router or part material.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follows all safety rules and requirements.
- Maintains a proactive approach to safety by promptly reporting issues and near misses as well as participating in accident investigations as necessary.
- Reports all accidents and injuries.
- Inspects all gear/equipment prior to use to ensure it is in safe working order.
- Participates in safety training and initiatives.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not oversee any personnel.SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE
o 6-12 months minimum experience deburring parts in an aerospace/ machine shop environment. Some assembly experience preferred. o Ability to read routers, specifications, basic blueprints and instructions as needed. o Knowledge of calipers, and other hand precision measuring devices. o Good problem solving skills. o Prior experience with operating forklifts is desired, with at least 6 months of experience. o Ability to prioritize/re-prioritize tasks and workload to meet deadlines and changing requirements. o Highly organized and detail-orientedEDUCATION

Responsible for performing routine maintenance on mills and lathes throughout the facility. Troubleshoots mechanical problems and performs repairs. May examine and diagnose other equipment such as cranes, forklifts, pumps, etc. to determine the need for in-house/outside service or repair. May assist with other facilities repairs such as plumbing, HVAC, etc. when necessary.PRIMARY DUTIES
Include the following but other duties may be assigned.- Maintain, troubleshoot, inspect, repair and optimize CNC machinery (mills, lathes, 3- and 5-axis machines such as Mitsubishi, Mori-Seiki, Okuma, and other large mills/lathes) to ensure high-uptime, precision production.
Maintain and repair facility-level systems:
basic electrical wiring and controls, PLC inputs/outputs, motor starters, panel wiring; plumbing; overhead cranes; pumps; compressed air systems; conveyors; material handling equipment. Operate material handling equipment safely (forklifts, boom-lifts, scissor-lifts) and support equipment movements, rigging and machine set-ups. Obtain/maintain certification for forklifts and aerial lifts. Lead root-cause investigations for recurring equipment issues; implement corrective actions, document findings. Interface with production, quality and engineering teams to support process improvements, equipment capability studies, machine health monitoring and cost reduction initiatives. Work continuously with safety as the top priority: enforce lockout-tagout procedures, machine guarding, fall protection, aerial lift protocols, daily job safety analyses and toolbox talks.SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports unsafe conditions to manager. Report to management all accidents and injuries immediately.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure spare parts, tools and materials are readily available and inventoried.
- Assist other department and/or areas as requested by management or supervisor.
- Follows all company policies and safety guidelines. Attend all safety training as scheduled.
- Mentor and support less-experienced maintenance technicians or apprentices; provide direction, training and oversight as needed.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently under minimal supervision, manage deadlines and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends on a regular basis, and respond to emergency calls.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

- 5 - 7 years of hands-on maintenance experience in aerospace, defense, or machine-shop environments, supporting CNC mills/lathes, automation, facility systems.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical work. Ability to satisfactorily perform electrical jobs and intermediate knowledge of the electrical code and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of mechanics of 3- to 5-axis machines (e.g., Mitsubishi, Mori-Seiki, Okuma) and other large mills and lathes.
- Proven experience with CNC mill/lathe diagnostics and repair: mechanical, electrical, servo/drive systems, spindles, axes.
- Working knowledge of facility systems including electrical, plumbing, cranes, pumps, compressed air and material handling.
- Forklift, boom-lift and scissor-lift operator experience, or ability and willingness to become certified.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, able to independently diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues.

Under general supervision, machines parts/stock on various Vertical Turret lathes. Loads parts/stock onto machine and ensures the correct set-up to run program and ensure safety. Checks parts to verify specifications such as tolerance, dimensions, etc. are met. Safely unloads completed parts and prepares them for internal transport.
