Job Description
Job Overview We are a manufacturing company seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience operating conventional/manual machining equipment, including manual mills, manual lathes . Our work involves producing custom parts and equipment for specialized applications, providing an opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects rather than repetitive production work. This position requires the ability to produce accurate, high-quality parts while working from blueprints, drawings, sketches, CAD models, and verbal or written instructions. The successful candidate will be comfortable using precision measuring instruments and a variety of hand and power tools. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual with a great attitude who can work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Operate manual machining equipment, including manual mills, manual lathes. Set up and adjust machines to produce parts to required specifications Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, sketches, and CAD models Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools Perform basic calculations and apply shop math to machining operations Work with a variety of materials, including 6061 aluminum and 303 stainless steel Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Assist with mechanical assembly when needed Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshoot machining issues Operate welding equipment and forklift when required Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards Work efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail Qualifications & Experience Previous experience as a Manual Machinist or in a similar manufacturing position Hands-on experience operating: Manual Mill Manual Lathe Band Saw Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings Ability to work from drawings, sketches, and verbal or written instructions Experience using: Calipers Micrometers Hand tools Power tools Basic math and measurement skills Experience machining 6061 aluminum and 303 stainless steel Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to work effectively as part of a team Welding and forklift experience is a plus Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented Join our team as a Manual Machinist if you're passionate about precision craftsmanship!
