Shift:
2nd shift available A day in this role You clock in on 2nd shift, review the day's loadout, and head to a clean, well-organized cell. The work order on your bench is for a new run of precision aerospace components—parts that will become critical aircraft latching systems. You pull the fixtures you prepped, verify tooling, warm up the machine, and dial in your offsets. A small program tweak helps you hit an ultra-fine surface finish. Throughout the shift, you monitor cycle times, inspect critical dimensions with micrometers and bore gauges, and log your findings. Between runs, you lubricate, clean, and inspect the equipment so it's ready for the next job. Quality stays tight, throughput stays steady, and another set of parts ships to support commercial, military, and space programs. About the company you'll support Our client is a leading designer and manufacturer of aircraft latches and latching systems. With 80+ years in aerospace, they provide high‑performance hardware across commercial, defense, and space sectors. The operation is stable, growing, and known for promoting from within—offering clear paths for development and long‑term careers. What you'll tackle Set up and operate CNC mill‑turn machining centers to manufacture parts to print. Review daily production schedules; stage machines, tooling, and fixtures to meet job orders. Perform complete setups, set tool/work offsets, and make program adjustments to achieve tight tolerances and premium surface finishes. Keep equipment in top condition through routine lubrication, cleaning, and inspection. Continuously monitor machining operations and adjust parameters to protect quality and efficiency. Inspect components using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and related metrology tools) to verify blueprint and dimensional conformance. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that elevate productivity, quality, and safety. What you bring 3-6 years of CNC machining experience in a production setting, including mill‑turn or other multi‑axis centers. Fluency in reading engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions. Hands‑on proficiency with precision measurement tools: micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and similar inspection equipment. Deep understanding of tooling selection, feeds/speeds, and machining best practices across multiple materials. All successful applicants will be contacted within two working days.
