Job Title:
CNC Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled 4/5-Axis CNC Machinist for the night shift to set up and operate advanced CNC milling machines. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing complex aerospace and flight hardware components. This role requires expertise in reading blueprints, working with tight tolerances, and performing precision inspections. The ideal candidate has experience machining complex parts in an aerospace manufacturing environment and possesses strong setup and troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities Set up and operate advanced 4/5-Axis CNC milling machines. Produce complex aerospace and flight hardware components. Read and interpret blueprints accurately. Work with tight tolerances, specifically ± 0.001". Perform precision inspections using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gages. Troubleshoot machining operations to ensure quality and productivity standards are met. Work independently in a high-mix, low-volume aerospace job shop environment. Essential Skills Proficiency in 5-axis CNC machining. Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, and
HAAS CNC
controls. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Strong setup skills for CNC machines. Familiarity with tight tolerance machining. Experience with aerospace parts and components. Proficiency in using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers. Additional Skills & Qualifications Minimum of 7 years of machining experience in the aerospace industry. Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Experience with CNC programs and CAM software. Knowledge of additional controls like Cincinnati and Heidenhein. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a clean aerospace machine shop environment that specializes in precision CNC machining, fabrication, and assembly of high-tolerance flight hardware and structural components. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
