In this role, you will operate and set up CNC (Computer Numerical Control) lathes and manual turning machines to produce precision metal components according to detailed specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in blueprint reading, and experience with various machining tools and measurement instruments. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards in our manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production and adherence to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities Develop, optimize, and sustain CNC machining processes. Set up, operate, and troubleshoot advanced CNC machining equipment. Produce precision components that meet engineering drawings and quality standards. Perform machine setup, tooling changes, and process adjustments. Monitor machining operations to ensure quality, productivity, and efficiency. Conduct routine machine maintenance and support continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Management, and Production teams to resolve manufacturing issues. Support production schedules and new product introduction (NPI) activities. Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. Required Skills CNC Turning Swiss Style Lathes Mill/Turn Machine Centers Wire EDM 3- to 5-Axis CNC Milling Advanced Metrology and Precision Measurement CNC Programming / CAM Programming Software CAD / Solid Modeling Tool Grinding Blueprint Reading Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (required) Associate's Degree in Manufacturing Technology, Machining, or a related field preferred Journeyman Machinist certification is a plus Preferred Qualifications Experience with precision machining in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with Swiss-style lathes, CNC turning centers, Wire EDM, or multi-axis machining. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and machining process development. Experience working with engineering teams to support manufacturing improvements. Demonstrated ability to learn new machining technologies and adapt to changing production requirements.
