CNC Lathe Setup Machinist Position Summary:
Performs the task of setup/operating the
CNC Lathe Machines Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned § Set-up parts accurately for CNC Lathe machines for prototype and production jobs § Document set-up procedures, inspection forms and program edits § Maintain production efficiency levels § Maintain a clean and efficient work environment § Keep machine tools in clean and working order § Completes Traveler fully and accurately § Fill out Inspection first article reports § Complete Inspection Reports for every part and operation § Deburr parts completely before sending to inspection
Job Qualification Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
MUST HAVE LATHE EXPERIENCE
Physical Demands :
Must be able to stand, push, pull, reach and bend to the floor and must be able to push up to 75 lbs. occasionally
Visual Acuity :
Near acuity and accommodation are required to read blueprints, set-up sheets, routers and scheduling board.
Working Conditions :
Works on the shop floor, may be subject to: § High levels of noise § Physical hazards of moving equipment and machine parts.
Work Experience :
Must have more than 8 years of experience with knowledge of the CNC machining industry including ability to complete parts from billet to precise machine parts, all cutting paths, canned cycles, drilling, boring, tapping, calculating speeds and feeds
Equipment or Software:
§ Ability to read calipers and micrometers § Ability to read blueprints
Education :
An AA in Machine Technology is desired Measurements on
