Job Description

Job Summary:
Effectively operate and maintain the CNC Swiss lathe and other related machines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Powering on and off CNC and bar feeder
  • Turning on and off compressed air valves for CNC and bar feeder
  • Basic knowledge/understanding of CNC and bar feeder operations
  • Loading bars into bar feeder
  • Visual inspection of parts using microscope
  • Dimensional inspection of parts using Mahr gauges, micrometers and calipers
  • Changing tool offsets on CNC Fanuc controllers to maintain compliant products.
  • Removing chips from individual parts (including quick visual inspection)
  • Degreasing parts in Ultrasonic Cleaner
  • Segregating, identifying, and reporting of compliant and noncompliant parts.
  • Recording entries of operations on Operation Logs
  • Filling oil reservoirs on CNC and bar feeder
  • Removing chips from catch basin on CNC
  • Cleaning exterior of CNC and bar feeder
  • Keeping tools and work area clean and organized
  • Sharpen cutting tools with diamond wheel grinder
  • Maintain a safe clean and orderly work place.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum 2 years' experience using one or more of the following tools: lathe, milling machine, drill press, and vertical/horizontal cut off saw.
  • Ability to read, interpret, blueprints .
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Excellent work ethic and strong sense of urgency
  • Good interpersonal skills, tactful, punctual, mature and flexible Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
The employee is frequently exposed to a variety of varying weather conditions, trash, waste, chemicals and other materials. The noise level in the work environment and facility grounds can be loud.
Physical Requirements :
Sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 40lbs; pull/push up to 60 lbs, grasp small device/ products and identify very small variations in the product. Sight is required for observing work and production. May spend several hours using a computer to create reports, analyze data and respond to inquiries and issues. May be exposed to active machinery and moving equipment, dust. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.

$25.76 - $35.00 per hour
