We are actively seeking a Conventional Machinist in our CNC Department, reporting to the Manager of Machining. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Eligible for overtime. JOB DESCRIPTION
Machinists use a variety of conventional and CNC metalworking machines for the manufacturing of helicopters and helicopter parts in accordance with manufacturing procedures approved by the FAA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & COMPETENCIES
Ability to review blueprints and drawings to determine set-up procedures, machining sequence, and dimensions. Select fixtures, part holders, and tooling to machine parts to specifications. Familiarity with lathes, mills, drill presses, surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, centerless grinders, gear hobs, broaching machines, gun drills, tube hones, horizontal hones, and vertical hones. Ability to monitor tools and attachments to ensure parts are properly cooled and lubricated. Knowledge of feeds, speeds, and surface finishes related to blueprint requirements. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and geometric tolerances. Basic mathematic skills include but are not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for calculating material fabrication. Must be capable of using calipers and basic measuring tools. Full compliance with the Company's DOT Antidrug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program. Regular and predictable attendance.
Pay Range:
