Job Description
CNC Machinist $20-24/hr
Shift:
7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday Pay rate: $20 - 24/HR depending on experience Job Description This role offers the opportunity to work as a CNC machinist in a small, family-owned machine shop, contributing to precision components for a variety of industries. You will primarily focus on mill machine setup while also operating both mills and lathes, and may assist with basic programming using G and M codes. You will work closely with a small team on the shop floor and play a key role in ensuring high-quality, accurate machining work. Responsibilities Set up CNC mill machines for production, including tooling, fixturing, offsets, and verifying programs before running parts. Operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components according to specifications and engineering drawings. Monitor machines during operation to ensure parts meet quality and dimensional requirements, making adjustments as needed. Assist with CNC programming tasks, including working with G and M codes to edit or adjust programs when required. Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting on machines and equipment to maintain smooth operation. Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, and document results as needed. Collaborate closely with a small shop-floor team to coordinate work, prioritize jobs, and maintain efficient workflow. Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow shop procedures for safe and efficient operation. Participate in the interview and onboarding process by engaging with team members to ensure a strong mutual fit with the small team environment. Essential Skills Hands-on experience operating CNC mills. Hands-on experience operating CNC lathes. Proficiency in setting up CNC mill machines, including tooling and fixturing. Experience working as a CNC operator or CNC machinist. Ability to read and work with G and M codes for CNC programming and adjustments. Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with mechanical machining processes. Ability to work effectively in a small team environment on a shop floor. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, accurate parts.APPLY TODAY!
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Montoursville, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
