About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled 5-Axis CNC Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team. This role is for a technician who takes ownership of their work. You will be responsible for the setup and operation of our DN Solutions (Puma) DVF 5000 and Okuma MU 5000 centers, ensuring every part is flawless and fully verified before it hits the inspection lab.
Key Responsibilities Setup & Operation:
Perform complex setups on 5-axis trunnion machines (DVF 5000 & Okuma MU 5000).
Pre-FAI Verification:
Perform rigorous self-inspections to ensure the first piece of every run is within tolerance and "Ready for First Article" before submitting it to Quality Control.
Precision Machining:
Manufacture high-tolerance components, maintaining tight control over GD&T requirements.
Process Monitoring:
Monitor tool wear, adjust offsets, and maintain machine health to ensure consistency throughout the production run.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the programming and QC departments to bridge the gap between CAD/CAM and the finished physical part. What You'll Need (Qualifications)
Experience:
3+ years in 5-axis milling (Simultaneous and 3+2).
Machine Mastery:
Direct experience with DN Solutions/Puma and Okuma platforms.
Inspection Skills:
Expert-level proficiency with precision measuring tools (micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.).
Blueprint Literacy:
Advanced ability to interpret complex GD&T and technical drawings.
Accountability:
A "right the first time" mentality with a focus on reducing scrap and streamlining the transition to the QC lab. Why Join Us?
