Responsibilities:

Perform complete setups, operation, and optimization for 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines to manufacture high-precision components. Inspect first-piece, in-process, and finished parts using precision metrology equipment to ensure strict compliance with complex GD&T requirements. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and program-related issues to minimize downtime and enhance overall process efficiency. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior machinists while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills:

Advanced knowledge of CNC milling principles, tooling selection, speeds, feeds, and work-holding strategies. Strong proficiency in reading complex engineering blueprints and applying GD&T standards accurately. Expertise using precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical measurement devices. Excellent technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, and collaborative communication skills.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED, or military technical training (formal CNC degree, apprenticeship, or certification preferred). 7+ years of CNC milling experience, including 5+ years performing complex setups on 3

• to 4-axis equipment.

Demonstrated experience operating controls such as Fanuc, Haas, Mazatrol, Siemens, or Heidenhain.
