About Us DMI is a locally owned-operated machine shop serving regional and international customers, specialize in high-tolerance precision mill-turn machining of production jobs. We manage individual parts and assemblies, as well as jobs requiring additional vendors such as plating/anodizing, laser engraving, powder coating, sheet-metal, and plastic molding. We provide full in-house quality control, including CMM and first article inspection. DMI is a growing CNC machining company focused on delivering high-precision components. We take pride in our commitment to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Job Summary We're looking for skilled CNC Machinists to join our team and contribute to our mission of excellence. As a CNC Machinist, you'll be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality parts to customer specifications. You'll work from technical drawings and follow strict quality standards to ensure precision and consistency. Compensation $30-$60 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. Select and install proper tooling and fixtures. Monitor machining operations and make adjustments as needed. Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.). Maintain machine cleanliness and follow safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes. Document work performed and maintain accurate records. Report to shop manager with updates and issues. Help others to keep machines running and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical school or apprenticeship preferred. 2+ years of CNC machining experience (or equivalent training). Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming is a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Familiarity with precision measuring instruments. Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills (not required) Experience with Multiaxis Machines Knowledge of software like Fusion, Excel, Calypso.
