Compensation:
$25•37 per hour, based on experience Position Overview We are seeking an experienced CNC Milling Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Manchester, CT. This role is ideal for a machinist with a strong background in CNC setup and operation who can independently set up, troubleshoot, and run 3-axis CNC milling equipment while maintaining high standards of quality and precision. The successful candidate will primarily work with Hardinge CNC mills equipped with Okuma controls and will play a key role in producing precision-machined components used in custom packaging machinery and specialized industrial equipment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate 3-axis Hardinge CNC milling machines with Okuma controls Perform complete machine setups, including tooling, work offsets, and fixturing Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation Produce parts to specified tolerances and quality standards Perform tool changes, touch-offs, and minor program edits as needed Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators Troubleshoot machining and production issues to minimize downtime Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and customer deadlines Qualifications Minimum 3 years of CNC milling experience in a manufacturing environment Proven experience setting up and operating 3-axis CNC milling machines or larger Experience with Okuma controls preferred Familiarity with Hardinge CNC equipment is a plus Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong knowledge of machining practices, tooling, and setup procedures Experience holding tight tolerances and producing precision components Proficient with inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and indicators Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working with minimal supervision Benefits Competitive compensation based on experience Direct hire opportunity Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off (PTO) Consistent first-shift schedule No nights or weekend work
