Job Title:
CNC Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines, ensuring precision and quality in the production of parts. The ideal candidate will have experience with both horizontal and vertical configurations and will be able to perform routine inspections and make necessary adjustments to maintain production accuracy. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including both horizontal and vertical configurations. Operate CNC turning machines to produce precision parts. Perform routine inspections to ensure parts meet quality and specification standards. Make machine offsets and perform tool changes as needed to maintain production accuracy. Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to optimize output. Safely run and manage multiple machines simultaneously. Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols. Essential Skills Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of CNC mill and turning operations (horizontal and vertical). Ability to perform setups, tool changes, and machine offsets independently. Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to multitask and manage several machines effectively. Additional Skills & Qualifications Basic blueprint reading skills preferred. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
