Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions Ability to use measuring equipment•calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, depth gauges, & size blocks Experience with welding a plus but not required Computer skills Analytical and mechanical skills Willingness to learn additional job specific skills (mechanical, electronic, machining, etc.), depending on assigned task Must be self-motivated and interface well with others in a team Ability to work well with little supervision Ability to work with large/heavy assemblies
Responsibilities:
Operate mill and other manufacturing machines to produce machined parts; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies Plan production of parts by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects Help implement and troubleshoot design concepts The essential functions of this role include:wearing steel toe shoesmanual lifting up to 50lbsSkillsInspection Tools (3 years of experience is required)Welding3-axis Bridgeport (3 years of experience is required)Manual Mill Operation (3 years of experience is required)Manual Lathe Operation (3 years of experience is required)GD and T (5 years of experience is required)QualificationsYears of experience: 3 yearsExperience level: ExperiencedRandstad is a world leader in matching great people with great companies.
