Job Description
CNC Machinist responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC multi-axis lathes to produce close-tolerance parts from engineering specifications, blueprints, and sketches. Job Requirements High school diploma or GED 5 or more years of CNC machining experience Mazak MSY experience Live tooling experience Experience with metals, exotic metals, and plastics GD&T and close-tolerance machining experience Experience inspecting completed work Experience troubleshooting machining issues Experience recommending tooling solutions Ability to interpret engineering specifications, blueprints, and sketches Preferred Skills Aerospace manufacturing experience Experience programming CNC multi-axis lathes Experience determining machining processes, tooling, and programming requirements Experience machining close-tolerance parts from exotic metals Experience performing in-process inspections Job Responsibilities Program, set up, and run CNC multi-axis lathes Operate Mazak MSY equipment with live tooling Interpret engineering specifications, blueprints, and sketches Determine machining processes, tooling, and programming requirements Machine parts from metals, exotic metals, and plastics Apply GD&T requirements to close-tolerance machining work Inspect work to verify dimensional accuracy and specification compliance Troubleshoot machining issues during setup and production Recommend tooling changes or process adjustments as needed Maintain part quality through setup, operation, inspection, and adjustment activities
