Job Description

CNC Lathe Operator - 2nd
Shift Pay:
$19-$21/hr We are hiring a CNC Lathe Operator to set up and operate 3-axis CNC lathe equipment in the production of precision metal and/or plastic components. The right candidate will bring solid machining fundamentals, blueprint reading ability, and hands-on experience with precision measurement tools. Responsibilities Set up and operate 3-axis CNC lathe machines Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Load raw materials and monitor machining operations Perform tool changes, offsets, and minor program adjustments as needed Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators Maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards throughout production Troubleshoot machining issues and escalate as appropriate Perform routine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized Complete production and quality documentation accurately Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations Qualifications 2 years of CNC lathe operating experience preferred Hands-on experience with 3-axis CNC equipment Ability to read blueprints; GD&T familiarity a plus Knowledge of G-code and CNC controls a plus Strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards Proficiency with precision measuring instruments Solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to work both independently and within a team Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
