Job Title:
CNC Machinist Job Description This CNC Machinist role is based in Naples, FL on a first-shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. You will set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment in a fast-paced, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. The position requires strong machining experience, the ability to read blueprints and GD&T, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts with minimal supervision while following all safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes according to production specifications and job requirements. Load CNC programs, adjust offsets, and verify tool paths to ensure accurate and efficient machining. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions to produce parts to specification. Perform changeovers, including tool changes and setup adjustments, to support production runs and new jobs. Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring tools to verify part quality. Maintain tight tolerances and ensure all parts consistently meet quality and dimensional standards. Troubleshoot machining issues, identify root causes, and make necessary adjustments to improve part quality and machine performance. Assist with basic CNC programming or G-code adjustments as needed to optimize machining operations. Conduct routine machine maintenance and keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and in good working order. Follow all safety procedures, shop rules, and company policies while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and continuous improvement initiatives. Essential Skills At least 2 years of CNC machining experience in milling or turning operations. Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T symbols. Hands-on experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges for quality inspection. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make effective adjustments. Ability to perform changeovers and tool changes accurately and efficiently. Capability to lift 40+ pounds and stand for extended periods during the shift. High school diploma or equivalent education. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced production environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with G-code and the ability to make basic program adjustments. Experience with CNC programming or assisting in programming changes. experience in quality inspection processes within a machining or manufacturing environment. Experience performing routine preventive maintenance on CNC machines. Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for CNC equipment and machining processes. Comfort working with both milling and turning equipment is a plus. Why Work Here? You will stand for extended periods, handle parts and tools that may weigh 40+ pounds, and work around running machinery while following established safety procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naples, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
