In this role, you will operate and maintain CNC lathes and other machine tools to produce precision components according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production, adherence to safety standards, and continuous improvement in machining processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about manufacturing, machining, and precision engineering to contribute to innovative projects and grow their skills in a fast-paced environment. Duties Set up, operate, and monitor CNC lathes, milling machines, and other machine tools to produce parts with tight tolerances. Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing. Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and edit CNC programs as needed for optimal performance. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify dimensions and quality standards. Perform routine maintenance on machines, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments to maintain efficiency and accuracy. Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and tooling to support machining and assembly tasks. Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity across the shop floor. Experience Proven experience operating CNC lathes (preferably Fanuc-controlled) or similar machine tools in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), SolidWorks or similar design software is highly desirable. Familiarity with blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings is essential for precise machining. Hands-on experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, welding techniques, and assembly is a plus. Ability to use precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines confidently. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings are required. Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and safety protocols within a machine shop setting is preferred.
